N6 Galway City Outer Bypass

| Description: | A bypass to the north of Galway City commencing at the R336 in Baile Nua at the west to link at a new junction with the new N6 Galway to Dublin road at Garraun at the east. This includes the provision of a new crossing of the River Corrib.
An Bord Pleanála approved the portion of the scheme from Garraun in the east (where it connects to the N6 Galway to Ballinasloe scheme) to the N59 at Gortatleva in the west. The approved scheme is a 12 km dual carriageway with 2 grade separated junctions and incorporates a new crossing of the river Corrib.
Progression of this scheme through the planning phases has been suspended.
