N2 Slane Bypass

| Description: | This scheme comprises 3.5km of Type 2 Dual Carriageway bypassing Slane to the east of the village. Three at grade roundabouts have been provided in the design, at the tie-in points with the existing N2 at the southern and northern extents of the scheme, as well as at the junction with the existing N51. The scheme also includes a 200m long bridge over the River Boyne. The CPO and EIS were published in December 2009 and the oral hearing was held in early 2011, the result of which is awaited.
