N2 Monaghan Town Bypass

| Description: | Reconstruction and realignment of 2.3 km of National Primary road to standard single carriageway, together with associated realignment of minor roads and construction of roundabout junctions and tie-ins. The scheme extends from the existing N2 National Primary route in the townland of Corlat south of Monaghan Town to the existing N2/N12 junction in the townland of Coolshannagh to the north. The scheme was officially opened on 25th September 2006.
This project has been funded by the Irish Government under the National Development Plan and Transport 21 and by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund. |
