
N11 Arklow to Rathnew (including Newlands Cross)

| Description: | The proposed development consists of the construction of a grade-separated dual carriageway and associated side roads to link the N11 Arklow Bypass with the Ashford Rathnew Bypass.
The scheme consists of:- •16.38 km of dual carriageway •two interchanges at Beehive and Jack White’s Crossroads •re-alignment and/or construction of 4.83 km single carriageway all-purpose road running parallel to the new N11 carriageway •five under-bridges and three over-bridges. Construction of this scheme is being progressed as a PPP Project. The PPP contract also includes the construction of a grade separated interchange at the existing at-grade junction, between the N7 Naas Road and the R113 Fonthill/Belgard Road at Newlands Cross. The N7 comprising a 2 x 3 lane dual carriageway will be totally free-flow through the junction. This project has been funded by the Irish Government under the National Development Plan and the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport. |
